New Hangout Spot?

Right behind Archer Road a new hangout spot has been created. Celebration Pointe is a city walk that will have a movie theater, shopping center, restaurants, and even a hotel. Two years ago, an article was made to describe the center.

Celebration Pointe is Creating a Destination Experience - Business in Greater Gainesville

CELEBRATION POINTE WILL BE MANY THINGS TO MANY PEOPLE. To shoppers, it will offer everything from a Bass Pro Shops Sportsman's Center to a state-of-the-art luxury seating movie-going experience. In addition, the dining experience will feature a combination of local and national restaurants, bakeries and a wine bar.

Now, two years later, the hope of the city walk being created has turned into a reality.

The photo above was actually taken by me. That's right Celebration Pointe is finally open to the public. The luxurious movie theater is officially opening April 12th, 2018. Currently, a promotion was going on to residents to watch $3 movies. But, unfortunately, that has ended.  The movie theater has an RPX system which makes the process of watching a movie so much better. 

As for stores many of them are on the verge of opening. Currently Bass Pro Shops is the only one that is open. Tommy Hilfiger and the Nike Factory Store are opening in the next couple of weeks. April 19th to be exact. 

There is also a hotel that will open in the future. Hotel Indigo will have restaurants as well as over 140 rooms for guests. 

I do think Celebration Pointe will be a huge attraction for many people. I know I will be going to the movies there a lot. The location isn't far. They are also planning on making a bike path for people that will be accessible to University of Florida students.
